Registered Sex Offenders search sites:
https://www.fbi.gov/scams-and-safety/sex-offender-registry – Search for registered sex offenders by State, Territories and Tribe.
https://www.nsopw.gov/ – Federal search for registered sex offenders.
You can also use this to search for registered sex offenders by zip code and address. This might be handy if you want to research an area that you want to use to host an event.
PACER: https://www.pacer.gov/ as a helpful background check resource. Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) is an electronic public access service that allows users to obtain case and docket information online from federal appellate, district, and bankruptcy courts, and the PACER Case Locator. It will cost you a few cents per search and documents but is very cheap, even if you were to run many names thru it.
Educational resources:
https://www.templescarlet.com/
Temple Scarlet advocates and educates about sacred sexuality in a safe, non-judgmental and open space. An important tool to prevent and recognize sexual predators is having the ability to discuss what is safe and normal for your chosen sexual path and what is a Red Flag. The Temple Scarlet does just that by a strong presence online as well as hosting in person events.

Victim and victim prevention resources:
https://crusaderfoundation.com/
The Crusader Foundation specializes in raising awareness and education about human trafficking. They also work to help locate and secure missing and endangered people. They are a wonderful resource for information about human trafficking and true protectors of our communities!
https://www.womensselfdefense-seps.com
SEPS- This site is a free resource that covers not only self defense, but also different types of scenarios that you may find yourself in. They go over many adult oriented situations and bring up many Red Flags that we should all be aware of. While the link does say ‘women’s self defense’ it I truly believe the advice that is given in this site is very helpful for people of every gender identity!
http://jdoe.io/html/about.html
JDoe- This is a REALLY helpful app. Not only does it help you report incidents that have happened to you anonymously and help you with whatever next steps you may need to take, they also give you access to a map that show potentially dangerous areas and offer alternate routes.
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
If you are in a situation where something has happened to you and you don’t know what to do, or who to turn to, RAINN is a wonderful place to start. They have trained professionals that you can contact who will believe you, and they will help you.
Please know that if something has happened to you that it is NOT your fault and it is NEVER too late to seek and get help to begin your healing!
